Lindsey Shimizu, CTMP
Lindsey Shimizu is a People and Culture strategist, facilitator, and founder of Oak Development Strategists, an independent practice focused on establishing the conditions where people and organizations grow and perform. She brings 20+ years of experience across talent management, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness to her work as a Performance Pendulum Questionnaire (PPQ) coach.
Lindsey has partnered with leaders across sectors, from global corporations and healthcare organizations to educational institutions and the social-profit sector, most recently as Program Manager at Landscape Ontario. That experience put her inside the tensions the Performance Pendulum names: telling an organization’s story to funders while meeting their reporting requirements, developing new programs while answering to a volunteer board, staying connected to the people a mandate serves while making hard operational calls. She knows how to narrow the gap between what a leader intends and how their team experiences it day to day.
A Certified Talent Management Practitioner (CTMP) and Certified Facilitator of Everything DiSC, Lindsey also holds an Adult Learning and Development Certificate from OISE and is a Certified HR Organizational Development Practitioner. She is a Career Coach with Ontario Career Lab and serves on the Global Conference Planning Committees for ILA and I4PL.
Her coaching style is grounded, conversational, and participant-centred. She creates space for social-profit leaders to reflect on their PPQ results and leave the feedback session with a development plan they are excited to act on. Lindsey is based in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and lives with her husband and 2 big rescue dogs.
